Anthony Carroll, born in Dublin and raised in rural County Carlow, eventually settled in Birmingham, England, where his working-class upbringing instilled in him values of responsibility and practicality. Despite an early career in engineering, Anthony maintained a passion for the arts, continuously drawing and occasionally painting throughout his professional life.

In 2018, Anthony fully embraced his artistic aspirations by enrolling in a workshop at the International Watercolour Masters event with renowned watercolourist David Poxon RI NWS. This experience was pivotal, leading him to focus on watercolour painting—a medium that suited his natural inclination for detail and meticulousness.

Anthony established his own studio shortly thereafter, dedicating himself to creating watercolours that reflect his deep commitment to thoughtful execution and storytelling. His work, particularly in watercolours, has gained recognition in regional art competitions, with several pieces reaching the final judging stages and one being shortlisted for a national competition, resulting in an exhibition at a prominent London gallery.
