Guy Chapman
Guy Chapman is a completely self-taught, full-time artist who has been drawing for as long as he can remember. He joined EMI Records in 1992, where he began creating portraits for some of the label’s music artists. During this time, he developed a distinctive style he calls Imaginaria, inspired by the idea that creativity is born within the imagination.
In the 1970s, Guy discovered the works of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, whose books introduced him to the endless possibilities of self-imagined worlds—a theme that continues to fuel his art from somewhere deep within his dream-filled mind.
Guy’s portfolio includes illustrations for several books, and he is in the early stages of collaborating with a children’s author. He is a full member of the Cotswold Craftsmen Guild and, in 2024, achieved a career milestone by becoming an associate member of the prestigious Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA). He continues to showcase his art annually at selected venues.
