Jaachinma Duru

Jaachinma Duru is a figurative painter whose work leans toward the surreal, exploring memory, belonging, and diaspora. After a decade-long hiatus, she returned to oils and acrylics to reflect on displacement, distance, and the tension between abundance and lack. Her paintings evoke the feeling of missing an uninhabited home and the dissonance of living between worlds, as she works to reconcile fading memories with lived experience.

Jaachinma has recently begun exhibiting and selling work across London, including group shows at NICOLA Arts: No Limits Gallery, Of Nazareth Gallery, and the Hogan Lovells Black History Month Gala (2025).
