Janette Eslick’s work is inspired by nature and her travels. Originally drawn to photography, she has since developed a passion for painting in a variety of media, including watercolour, ink, acrylics, and the creative possibilities of collage.

During her travels, Janette enjoys experimenting with outdoor sketching, using watercolours and inks to produce loose, expressive images that capture the essence of a moment. In her studio, she works in acrylics to create dynamic paintings featuring dramatic skies and seascapes, building layers of colour to achieve depth and cohesion. More recently, she has embraced collage, exploring this playful artform by combining cuttings gathered from her travels with her own photographs and sketches to produce richly textured pieces.

Her current paintings feature scenes from the Isles of Scilly, where she has spent considerable time in recent years, as well as landscapes inspired by Devon, Northumberland, Sussex, Norway, New Zealand, and Australia.
