Sue Townsend has worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years as she was encouraged to do something sensible rather than go to art school.

Sue has always admired wood cut prints so had a go at lino cutting as a slightly more joint-friendly alternative to carving out wood. She became hooked on this medium and enjoys creating art that gives a surprise at the end as she is never quite sure how it will work out.

She loves the simplicity of image but also the complexity when producing layered images.

Sue’s ambition is to pursue art full-time.
